Motion / Stipulation Language
Use of Civil Communicator. The parties [agree that they] shall subscribe to Civil Communicator and that all communication between the parties shall be within Civil Communicator. The [mother/father/parties] shall [each] pay for [both/their own] subscription fees associated with Civil Communicator. [The parties shall only communicate regarding the children and only about issues that require either a joint decision or on issues regarding the welfare of the minor children. OR The parties shall communicate by Civil Communicator about issues that arise regarding the child(ren) that should have the input of both parents.] [The parties agree to use the Civil Communicator calendar to keep one another updated regarding the child(ren)’s school, extracurricular, medical, and other events and appointments. Each party is responsible for contacting coaches, tutors, and other activity supervisors to get on the email lists and determine the dates of the child(ren)’s involvement in activities.] The parties agree to become familiar with, and abide by, the CivilCommunicator.com Terms and Conditions, its features, best practices, and Communications Guidelines. Both parties should check Civil Communicator at least one time each day. The party wishing to request a joint decision shall send the request over Civil Communicator. The receiving party shall have [24/48/72] hours to respond. [If the receiving party does not respond within the [24/48/72]-hour timeframe, the requesting party shall be entitled to make the decision without any additional input from the other parent.] [In the event of a dispute, the parties shall submit same to binding arbitration and shall share the cost of arbitration equally. The parties appoint ________________ as arbitrator pursuant to the Colorado Dispute Resolution Act.] For emergency or time sensitive matters, the parties agree to use the emergency communication function within Civil Communicator and communicate in a professional and businesslike manner. [An emergency shall be defined as an illness regarding the children or either of the parties that affects parenting time, a car accident, severe weather, and things of that nature.]
